Parker Christensen

Hey there! My name is Parker Christensen and I am the founder of Signal12. I have played, coached, and loved the sport of soccer since I can remember. Whether it was playing for my older brother’s team in middle school, grinding the college recruiting process in high school, or playing alongside teammates that have since gone pro, I honestly love every aspect of the competitive athlete experience.

One of the most memorable moments in my youth career came during the first game of a new season after we had jumped up a league. For this specific game, we had a guest coach from the highest-level team in our academy. The only thing I remember about that game was this coach chewing me out, bad, for not talking enough. Of course, after that I did not shut up for the rest of the match, most likely spewing nonsense to the rest of my team.

Fast forward to my college and semiprofessional years, I noticed that the best players I have ever been on a team with have a common trait: they were all excellent communicators.

Being the competitive person that I am, I wanted to also improve my communication on the field to rival my peers. This is when I discovered there are zero tools for athletes to learn, train, and improve their on-field communication. Which led me to think: what if we could analyze our on-field communication the same way teams watch film?
